At Colonial Management Group we believe that addiction to
heroin and other opiates is a disease. Colonial Management
Group runs methadone treatment centers to help addicts
overcome addiction to heroin, opium and opiate-based
prescriptions. We use methadone treatment as a way to
relieve the craving for heroin, and opiate-based
prescription drugs (Dilaudid, Percodan, Percocet,
Propoxyphene). Our goal is to treat our patients with
dignity and respect in each phase of their treatment
experience.

We focus the work in our clinics on managing
the disease and strive hard to improve our patients\'
quality of life. This involves implementing the most
current research findings in our treatment of our patients.
Because of our concern for the community as a whole, we
seek to be a resource by educating the public on the
disease of addiction and advocating the value of treatment
in improving the lives of the people struggling with this
addiction.

Each person on our team is doing his or her
part to help those with opiate addictions and improve the
quality of life in their communities.

Patients are assigned a personal counselor and are seen on varying
schedules according to the length of time in treatment and
also the responses gained from treatment. The counselors
routinely monitor the patient\'s drug-free status by use of
random urinalysis, which are taken at least once a month
but more often as clinically indicated or as mandated by
state rules. Treatment plans are utilized throughout the
treatment stay and are modified as necessary in accordance
with each progression.

St. Anne\'s Home has been providing a loving home to women
suffering from addiction for more than 40 years.We specialize
 in long-term care in a loving, non-institutional setting which
allows an opportunity for growth that clients may not receive in
another Addiction Recovery setting. Our staff of highly qualified
and certified professional counselors works with our clients to
help them overcome the shackles of addiction, allowing them to
move forward with a more productive future.We offer long-term
care for women suffering from addiction. This long-term care
gives our clients a second chance at learning how to apply the

The Oakmont Center\'s philosophy  is dedicated to providing services for
individuals,family members, and relevant others who
are adversely affected both directly and/or indirectly
by substance abuse and dependency.An additional component
of the program includes anger management.

Today, chemical abuse and addiction is one of society\'s
most serious problems. Medical authorities and the
courts both agree that such addition is a complex
bio-psychosocial disease which makes it much greater
than a character weakness or a moral problem. Therefore,
the chemically dependent suffers emotionally, mentally,
physically, spiritually, and socially. As such, using a
holistic approach based on the medical model
(that is the disease concept of addiction)is couched
within the context of some of the psychotherapeutic
modalities such as rational emotive therapy, behavior
modification, family therapy, and transactional analysis,
etc. In addition, these approaches are integrated into the
treatment cycle within the broad framework of AA\'s 12
steps format. Thus, the major treatment goal is to help
the client achieve total abstinence from the use of
psychoactive or mood altering substances. The focus is two
fold:

Provide the individual with a broader
understanding of the devastating effects of substance
abuse and addiction; and

Assist the client in transforming a destructive and
self-defeating pattern of behavior thru the learning of
new skills so as to enhance a higher quality of life and
productivity by sustaining a drug-free life style.
