Mountain Lakes Behavioral Healthcares substance abuse services facility, Cedar Lodge, provides Intensive Outpatient Services and Crisis Residential Services to both men and women throughout the state. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to minimize the disruption to the home and work routine by providing intensive substance abuse treatment in the least restrictive environment. The client is allowed to work and maintain his/her home life and at the same time receive quality treatment for substance abuse.
All candidates must be 19 years of age or older, have a primary diagnosis of chemical dependence or chemical abuse, and have adequate housing. It is also preferable that the individual have a viable support system within their living arrangement. The Crisis Residential Program provides the chemically dependent person the opportunity to obtain stabilization in a structured therapeutic environment and to gain the necessary life skills to live a sober and productive life.
The treatment program normally lasts from three to four weeks and consists of group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and active participation in 12-Steps support groups. Assistance with G.E.D. work is provided, if needed.
Preventive services are provided as a part of the Mountain Lakes Substance Abuse Program. Prevention activities focus on teaching life skills to both children and adults. Children\'s workshops focus on using a variety of activities to encourage children to develop self-respect and respect for others. The Family Life Center is an outpatient mental health Cherokee and Marshall counties. A multitude of services are offered from individual, group and couples counseling to educational groups for substance and alcohol abuse. Drug and breath alcohol testing is offered for company\'s nation wide through Drug Testing Program Management (DTPM) a subsidiary of Family Life.
